Mustafa tries on my pack

Mustafa is my host here in Gaziantep. That pack is almost as big as he is! Another reminder that it’s time to purge some stuff out of there.

My new shoes

I picked these up in Osmaniye over the weekend. It’s not easy to find my size here in Turkey, but I walked into a store in Osmaniye and lo and behold, they had not just a few shoes in my size, but a bunch of them, and at great prices!

When the pack gets much higher than the top of my head, it’s time to purge it. This time around, most of the bulk at the top is my winter coat, so there’s only so much bulk I can purge. But I’ve been on the road 4-1/2 months now, so I know what I do...
