This is a typical Turkish breakfast plate.
My normal breakfast on walking days is shaping up to be simit and cay (tea), gozleme and cay, or something like that.
When I finally rolled out of bed this morning at 10:00am and stumbled downstairs for some simit and cay, I was pleasantly reminded that 99.99% of Turkish hotels, fancy or modest, include a breakfast plate in the room price.
So I eagerly took them up on it, and you bet I ate just about every consumable morsel on that plate.
By the way, the head waiter is named Oktay. Thanks Oktay bey, your hospitality means more than you know!
