Thank you to the Kickstarter contributors over the past couple days for taking the project past the significant milestone of $1170.
Why was $1170 a significant milestone?
Kickstarter is very open with, and encourages familiarity with, its data. One important tidbit to know is that 90% of Kickstarter projects that at some point reach 30% of their goal reach their full goal by the deadline.
For Walking Turkey, 30% of the goal is $1170. Over the past few days contributors put Walking Turkey into a special club.
Of course, this by no means means the work is over. There’s still $2695 to go. What it does mean is that I can sleep better at night knowing that statistically speaking, this project has a pretty damn good chance of reaching its funding goal.
Who knows, maybe it’ll even exceed it (but knock on wood and let’s not get ahead of ourselves).
